Fire Shutters
Fire resistant roller shutter doors are specifically designed as a fire break within building compartments.
They can be specified on differing resisting times, i.e. 1 hour - 4 hours to comply with building regulations which can be controlled either manually via a drop weight system or interlinked to the building fire alarm. With enhanced fire resisting properties, our fire shutter doors enhance safety at any property and are provided for installation to clients from across London and Kent.
Fire resisting roller shutter doors consists of steel box and guide rails designed to be a security barrier during normal and to close automatically during a test or emergency situation. Ideal for a range of applications, our fire shutters have two modes; normal operation and operation in fire condition.
In normal operation, the fire shutters can be used to close off specific areas and provide protection from theft by securing products away from the public. The fire shutters are operated by a surface wall mounted and key operated switch which is mounted to within 500mm of the door opening on the motor side and is supplied and fitted as standard. At an additional cost, we can fit flush mounted switches if you require.
In fire conditions, the roller shutters will close as soon as a fire alarm is triggered by the building management system. This is to prevent the spread of fire and give your employees and customers longer to leave the building.
Powered by a single phase 13 amp power supply, our fire shutters all feature a fire rated cable with a volt free signal that triggers when an alarm signal is initiated.
