Removal of sectional overhead door and installation of electrically operated roller shutter

Return to case studies

Back

After previously completing a site survey, our engineers went to the site, created a safe working area and then stripped out and removed the existing electrically operated sectional overhead door. From here they installed one of our industrial roller shutter doors to utilise the mezzanine floor space they had created. Some tests were performed before our team of engineers left to make sure that everything was in good working order.

There were two options for the industrial roller shutter door and they were:

Option 1:

  • Standard industrial 3 Phase door
  • Curtain: 20 gauge galvanised steel
  • Bottom Slat: 'T' Bottom Rail
  • Guide Rail: 65mm 'U' Channel
  • Operation: GFA Safedrive motor with digital limits as standard.  Low level hand chain for manual override facility and integral safety brake included as standard. Arrangement:  Face fix arrangement for guide and end plate angles
  • Finish:  Galvanised as standard

Option 2:

  • Insulated industrial 3 Phase door
  • Curtain: Double walled foam filled 77mm galvanised steel slat.
  • Bottom Slat: Aluminium extruded bottom slat profile with rubber seal as standard
  • Guide Rails:  95mm extruded aluminium guide rail fitted with brush seal guide inserts
  • Motor: GFA Safedrive motor with digital limits as standard.  Low level hand chain for manual override facility and integral safety brake included as standard. Arrangement:  Face fix arrangement for guide and end plate angles
  • Finish:  Galvanised finish as standard
